GNHC is currently conducting field research in the poverty stricken areas under the Rural Economy Advancement Program (REAP) aiming to identify pertinent interventions to enhance the economy of the poorest villages in the dzongkhags. | Hon’ble Secretary visited some Gewogs of Trongsa, Zhemgang, Wangdue, Dagana, Sarpang, Punakha, and Tsirang Dzongkhag from 03/08/2008 to 11/08/2008 to conduct bilateral discussions with Dzongkhag sector heads and local functionaries on the matters pertaining to 10th Five Year Plan and local developments. Draft 10th Five Year Plan presented to democratically elected Lhengye Zhungtshog |
| As per the decision of the First Session of the democratically elected Lhengye Zhungtshog held on April, 14th , the Gross National Happiness Commission presented the overall status of the 10th Five Year Plan today, i.e. 17th April, 2008. The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Jigme Yoezer Thinley chaired the joint meeting where all members of the Cabinet and the GNH Commission were present.
